The craft

Feathers that have been to ceremony

In Bali, ceremony is part of everyday life. The rooster feathers in our earrings are local, gathered from religious ceremonies on the island and given a second life by an artisan family who makes every pair by hand.

Each pair is finished with gold-plated hoops and a gold-plated charm: the Flower of Life or the Vesica Piscis, two of the oldest shapes in sacred geometry. Small stones are worked in along the way. They are sturdy and flowing, and light enough to wear all day.

Our leather holsters are made the same way, one at a time by an artisan family in Bali, with adjustable straps and room for everything you need on a long festival day.

Where do orders ship from?

Everything is handmade in Bali, Indonesia, and orders ship from Austin, TX. Shipping within the US is a flat $8 per order, and you will get a tracking number by email once it ships.

If you need a piece by a certain date, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it can make it.

How do I care for feather earrings?

Keep them dry: take them off before swimming or showering. Store them hanging or laid flat so the feathers hold their shape.

If a feather gets ruffled, smooth it gently between your fingers in the direction it grows. Wipe the gold-plated charm and hoops with a soft, dry cloth.

Are the earrings heavy?

No. They are long and flowing but light, and sturdy enough for dancing. The hoops are gold-plated.

How do the holsters fit?

The straps are adjustable, so each holster fits a wide range of bodies. The model in our photos is 5'8" with a medium build. Each main pocket fits an iPhone Pro Max or a large Android phone.
